Anti Moss Copper Roof Tape uses a flexible honeycomb copper structure that allows the tape to be shaped easily in all directions when pressed onto the surface. This makes it as workable as traditional lead tape, but lighter and easier to handle. The reverse side is fully coated with high-viscosity butyl adhesive, giving excellent grip and long-lasting bonding to roof tiles. Supplied in rolls of 5m length and 150mm width.
Over time, natural weather conditions make roof tiles an ideal surface for moss and lichen growth. Although this process is slow, it causes serious long-term damage. As moss takes root, it creates microscopic cracks in the tile surface. This reduces both the durability and the appearance of the roof. Moss and lichen also trap moisture, preventing proper water runoff and negatively affecting the entire roof structure.
As the copper surface reacts to weather and temperature changes, microscopic quantities of copper salts are released and washed down the roof by rainwater. These salts settle on the tiles below the tape line and create a powerful natural barrier against moss and lichen. This action is continuous, fully automatic, and 100% environmentally friendly. With every rainfall, the roof receives renewed protection, helping it stay cleaner, stronger, and more durable for longer.
Copper naturally forms a protective outer layer called patina. This layer is made up of alkaline copper salts such as copper carbonate, copper sulfate, and, in coastal areas, copper chloride. These salts protect the metal against environmental exposure. The colour of the patina changes over time from red brown to dark brown and eventually green. The speed of this process depends on air quality, humidity, and dust levels. Patina can form in as little as 4 years in marine environments, around 8 years in industrial areas, 15 years in urban conditions and up to 30 years in rural locations.

We had our roof retiled last summer, we are surrounded by trees so moss growth was a serious problem. The relatively minimal cost of this product in the context of a roof replacement was worth a try to prevent or limit regrowth. It's easy to apply and so far after 7 months has been effective in completely stopping moss regrowth
Das Band lässt sich gut verarbeiten und klebt sehr gut an den Dachplatten. Ob es auch funktioniert und das Moos beseitigt und auch dauerhaft auf den Dachplatten hält muss jetzt der Langzeiteinsatz zeigen.
Verlegung relativ einfach, soll Vermoosung beim Dach verhindern.
War skeptisch, ob das wirklich klappen kann, etwas auf ein altes Tonziegel Dach zu kleben... Bin jetzt aber mehr als begeistert von dem Kleber, das hat sich so schön aufbringen lassen. Schaut echt stylisch aus, wie a Chrom Leiste fürs Haus. Wenn das jetzt auch noch das Moos und die Flechten dadurch zurückgehalten werden, sind die 5 Sterne absolut verdient. 👍
Als Schutz für die Holzstege am Wintergarten angebracht. Hoffe es erspart mir viel Arbeit, jedes Jahr beim streichen. Sehr leicht zu verarbeiten.

It did,nt stick that well on the edges, the bitument did not go to the edge, which meant it has lifted on the top edge - i suggest that you allow the Bitument go to the edge on at least one side, that way it can be stock one the top edge and not allow the rain to get under it
All good easily applied, hopefully no more moss !
Easy to apply. Not in place long enough to rate how effective it is either to stay in place or to actually perform the job of keeping the roof clean of moss.

Obviously having just applying to my roof, only time will tell if it does what is expected, but the quality and ease to fit was no problem.
Time will tell on lengevity but having generously overlapped and bitumen prepped brickwork it's is a ver nice finish to a pantile roof porch

Sticks on the roof easily, after cleaning off the moss to enable a clean surface. After a short time the bright copper finish has now blended in with the roof. Now hope it does what it’s meant to 🤞
